DEATH TAKES S. M’CLELLAND, 75
FUNERAL SERVICES TO BE HELD TUESDAY AFTERNOON AT JONES’

Samuel L. McClelland, 75 years of age, died at five o’clock Sunday afternoon at the Washington County Hospital where he had been for care and treatment for the last two weeks.

Mr. McClelland’s home had been for a number of years on South Avenue C, where he lived and cared for his father, Hugh M. McClelland, until the latter’s death at an advanced age in 1912.

He continued to make his home there until removed to the hospital. He had been failing for the last two years and was nearly blind.

No close relatives of Mr. McClelland live in this community. A niece, Mrs. Bess Anderson of Chicago, had been here recently to help look after him and attend to his needs. Mr. McClelland had never married.

Funeral services are announced for three o’clock Tuesday afternoon at the L. A. Jones funeral home with burial at Elm Grove cemetery.
