Alice Mae Richardson dies

Alice Mae Richardson, 72, died Friday morning at Parkview Care Center.

She was born Jan. 7, 1915 in Washington, the daughter of Bert and Maggie E. Boileau White. She married Alvin Richardson March 30, 1939 in Kirksville, Mo. He died Sept. 14, 1979.

Mrs. Richardson lived most of her life in the Fairfield community with her previous residence in Washington. She was employed as a cook at Woody's Cafe, Parsons College and the Hosanna House for Boys.

She is survived by three daughters: Jeanette Quick, Fairfield; Helen Orser, Las Vegas, New.; and Mary Ann Cook, Donnellson; one son: William, Fairfield; nine grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and two brothers: Earnest White and Harold White, both of Fort Myers, Fla. Mrs. Richardson was preceded in death by two brothers, Clarence and Boyd.

Memorial services for Mrs. Richardson will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the First Lutheran Church with the Rev. Lenwood Monte officiating. Her body was donated to the University of Iowa Department of Anatomy.

Burial of the cremains will be at the Elm Grove Cemetery in Washington at a later date. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association and may be left at the Behner Funeral Home or mailed to William Richardson, 1302 Liberty Drive, (Fairfield).
