Frances Birka Howard dies in California

Word has been received here of the death of Mrs. Frances Howard, formerly of Washington. She died January 23, 1974, in Richmond, Calif., where she moved with her family several years ago.

Mrs. Howard was born January 24, 1897, a daughter of the late Frank and Frances Koroush Birka Howard.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. H. B. (Evelyn) Herbst and Emma Jean Howard; and two grandchildren.

Three sisters and two brothers preceded her in death. The funeral was held in California.
