Ole Boone, 58, of Wellman, Iowa, died suddenly on Monday, August 16, 2004, at his home in Wellman.
Funeral Services were held Thursday, August 19, 2004 at Powell Funeral Home in Wellman. Pastor Beth Miller officiated. Burial was at the Wellman Cemetery.
Ole was born March 12, 1946, in Washington, Iowa, the son of Marvin and Adella "Peg" (Wasson) Boone. He attended Mid-Prairie High School. He served in the Army during the Vietnam war. Ole has lived all of his life in the Wellman community, where he owned and operated the Farmers Tavern for several years and was a bartender. He was a member of the First Baptist Church & enjoyed playing golf.
Ole is survived by a special friend, Annie Smith, Wellman, Iowa; a brother, Buth Boone and wife Mary, Willman, Iowa; two sisters, Connie McKray and husband Jim, Riverside, Ia; Paula Lampe & husband Dale, Keota, Ia; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceeded in death by his parents & a sister Jackie Boone.
