Alice E. Mangold, age 87, of Washington died Wednesday Jan. 9, 2008 at the Washington County Hospital following a brief illness.

Celebration of life services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, 2008 at the United Presbyterian Church in Washington with Rev. Bob Wollenberg officiating. Visitation will begin at 12 p.m. Friday at the Jones - Eden Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 7 until 8:30 p.m. Friday evening. Interment will take place at the Elm Grove Cemetery in Washington. Memorials have been established to the United Presbyterian Church or to the Washington County 4-H Foundation. Alice was born Jan. 5, 1921 in Keota, Iowa the daughter of Elmer and Clara (Horning) Vincent. She attended Hopewell Country School near Keota and graduated from Keota High School in 1939. On Nov. 28, 1941 Alice was united in marriage to Wayne Mangold at the New Haven parsonage in rural Washington County.
