Ralph R. "Dick" MOOTHART, 77, of Washingotn died Thursday, Oct 18, 2007, in the Washington County Hospital in Washington.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 22, in the Beatty Funeral Home in Washington with the Rev. Robert Wollenberg officiating. Burial will be in the Elm Grove Cemetery.

Mr. MOOTHART was born Jan. 8, 1930, in Washington, the son of Ralph Jacob and Florence (ROSE) MOOTHART. He married Ethel Eva OSWALT on April 17, 1954 in the Presbyterian Church in Washington.

He graduated from Washington High School in 1948. He was a member of the United Presbyterian Church in Washington, a charter member of Ducks Unlimited, Pheasants Forever, Whitetails Unlimited, and the Izaak Walton Club. He was employed by Exporter Elevator in West Chester, Rock Island Motor Transit from 1952-1972, Farmers Mutual Insurance, and the Epicurean Restaurant. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, time at the cabin on Lake Odessa, and duck claling where he was the state champion and placed third in the nationals.

Surviving are his wife, a brother-in-law, Dale "Dude" Patterson and several nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Virginia Batterson.
