John W. Shebeck, 61, life long resident of Washington County died this morning, Aug 11, 1949. Mr. Shebeck was born aug 20, 1887, in Washington County. He was married Feb 8, 1910, to Rebecca Baker, who survives him. Survivors include one son Alvin of Columbus Junction; three daughters, Mrs. Geneva Howell of Pleasant Palin, Mrs. Harriett Boone, of West Liberty, and Mildred Yoder of Kalona; two brothers, Frank and Joe of Iowa City; two sisters, Mrs. Libbie Ramsey of Des Moines, and Emma Shebeck of Mt Pleasant; and 11 grandchildren. Three sisters and one brother preceded him in death.
