Mrs. Laura L. Baker, 75, died yesterday evening, Sep 10, 1943. She was a daughter of John and Elmora L. (Baird) Jacobs. She was born Oct 24, 1867, in Indiana, and came to Washington when a young girl. She was married Nov 11, 1886, to Lewis Baker. Surviving are her husband; four daughters, Mrs. Arthur Pagitt, of Burlington, Mrs. John Shebeck, Mrs. Charles Thompson and Mrs. Earl Kephart of Washington; two sons, Howard of Keota, and Sam of Crawfordsville; one half-sister, Mrs. Charles Davidson of Washington; one half-brother, John Jacobs of IL.; 27 grandchildren, and 26 great-grandchildren.
