Cora Trier, 86, died today, July 14, 1989, at the Washington County Hospital. Cora Baker was born Aug 27, 1902, the daughter of Wendell and Mary Biewen Baker in Keokuk County. She married Raymond Trier on Jan 4, 1922. Her survivors include two daughters, Vernetta Crawford of Washington, LaVonne Kerkove of Ankeny, and three sons, Verle of St Elmo, IL., Robert of Des Moines, and Dennis of Mingo; 24 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, four sisters, Elsie Greiner, and Ester Bennett, Keota, Luella Redlinger, Wellman, and Henrietta Steiener, Chicago, IL., and one brother, Earl Baker of Keota. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two sons, two grandsons, one great-grandson, three sisters and one brother.
