Bessie Schlatter, 82, of Wayland, died Friday Aug 10, 2001, at the Henry County Health Center In Mt Pleasant. Mrs. Schlatter was born Mar 1, 1919, near Washington, to Sam and Fern (May) Baker. She married Warren Schlatter, May 21, 1939. Mrs Schlatter is survived by her husband, Warren of Wayland; three daughters, Shirley Sommer and husband Keith of Pandora, OH, Nancy Brenneman and husband Ron of Wellman, and Marner and husband Ken of Kalona; two brothers, Everette Baker and wife Donna of Richland, and Donald Baker and wife Alice of Farson; one sister Ruth Zieglowsky of Wayland; one sister-in-law Mary Baker of Wellington, FL; one brother-in-law Harold Dickinson of Birmingham; four grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was prceded in death by her parents; one brother, Ernest Baker; one sister Juanita Dickinson; one granddaughter; and one son-in-law, Dale Roth.
