Clarence "Butch" Miller was born August 25, 1909 in Wellman, the son of Julius and Anna Marie Desing Miller. He graduated from High School in Elkhart, Indiana. Clarence was united in marriage to Violet Walter in Dec. 30, 1936 in Elkhart. After there marriage the couple made their home in Wellman area. Clarence was a farmer, carpenter working on area school building projects and also worked a number of years at Wilson Concrete in Washington. He served in the United States Army during WW II. Clarence died Saturday March 24, 2007 at Parkview Manor in wellman after a brief illness at the age of 97 years. He is survived by his wife Violet of Wellman; a son: Michael (DIan_ Miller of New Castle, Colorado; a granddaughter: Holly (James) Pratt of New Castle: a great granddaughter Christa May Pratt and a sister: Elsie (Glenn) Guengerich of Wellman.
Clarence was preceded in death by his parents; 5 brothers: Everett, Stanley, Paul, Clark & Robert and a sister Lydia.
Memorial fund has been established for the Wellman Fire Department.

Burial is at 10:30 March 27, 1007 at the Wellman Cemetery, Wellman, Iowa
