Lafe T. FINKE of Pittsfield, Illinois died Wednesday, May 19, 1982 at 10:15 p.m. at the Illinois Community Hospital.

Services were held Saturday, May 22, at 10 a.m. at the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Pittsfield, Scott's Mortuary was in charge of arrangements and a memorial has been established at the funeral home.

He was born January 21, 1904, at Crawfordsville to the late William and Clara LEFFORGE FINKE. He married Nellie ROSS on March 31, 1923. He was a retired railroad worker and a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Pittsfiled.

He is survived by two daughters Bonnie GESLING of Moline, Illinois, and Janet MILLER of New London, seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren; two sisters, Pearl CHRISTNER of Crawfordsville and Velma EICHER of San Antonio, Texas.

He was preceded in death by five brothers and one sister. Survivors include his second wife, the former Margaret STROTHMAN, whom he married on March 21, 1967.
