GOODMAN, GUTMAN, GUDMAN, FINLEY

I am searching for immigration to the US information and the parents and siblings of JACOB GOODMAN, who, on the 1850 Ohio census said he was from Germany and one of his sons said, in 1880 Iowa census, that his father was born in WURTTEMBERG.

One of Jacob's sons was ISRAEL GOODMAN, born 1822 in PA, died 1890 in Indianola, Warren county, IA. Israel was married, in 1845 at Delaware, Delaware, OH, to Elizabeth Finley, born in 1828 in Delaware, Delaware, OH, died 1900 in Indianola, Warren, IA. Their children were Samuel Oscar, Charles Franklin, Rosannah Sophia, Israel William, Elizabeth Jane, Matson LaMont, James Finley, Albert Eugene and Annie Josephine. I have no proof of it, but Israel's mother's name was probably Rosannah. ISRAEL'S siblings were LEVI GOODMAN (born 1815 in PA), JOHN FRANKLIN GOODMAN (born 1825 in PA), and MARY GOODMAN (born 1824 in PA).

If anyone can tell me where to go to find out what ship Jacob came to America on or how to find info about his parents in Wurttemberg, please email me.
