Hello,

I am looking for the names (or any other information) on the parents of Frank Elijah Carter. Frank was my great grandfather. I have spoke with but not gathered much information from the living family members.

I recently discovered a World War I draft registration card that lists June 14, 1888 in Summerset, Iowa as the birth date and place of Frank Carter. Armed with that information, I recently made a trip to the Warren County recorder's office to find the birth record. After searching through about 13 years of records around the birth year, I was unsuccessful.

The information I have gathered through the years indicates he may have been adopted or possibly a foster child. Some family members also believe his mother's name was Mary, and she is buried somewhere near Hardin, Texas. He may have also had a brother named Earl.

I was just wondering if anyone had any information they could share with me on this topic. Your help would be greatly appreciated.
