Bluford Higens was my great-grandfather. I have seen where Daniel was his father, but have not been able to verify that.

Today I found info on the death of a Daniel Higgins, born Novermber 2, 1817 and died in September 1904. This Daniel was born in County Galway, Ireland and came to the US as a boy. I found this info on the internet at this site: www.iowaoldpress.com. In this article the name is Higgins, I know Bluford's line was Higins.
