Services for Robert Greubel, 74, will be Saturday, November 12, 2011 at 1 p.m. at the Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Chariton. Interment will follow in the Newbern Cemetery. Family will receive friends Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Chariton. Memorials are requested to the Lucas County 4-H. Robert was a farmer in the Lacona area all his life and enjoyed driving the Melcher-Dallas School bus for 26 years.
Robert passed away at his home on November 9, 2011. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Colene; his children: Craig (Susan) Greubel, Lynn (Bub) Hoskins, Lori (Kevin) Luedtke, Kristi (Dean) Chandler, Jeff (Gina) Greubel, and Mindy (Ryan) Bennett; 17 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and siblings: Darrell (Linda) Greubel, Raymond (Judy) Greubel, Darlene (Emory) Riseley, and Ruth (Jim) Ryun.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Martin and Arretta Greubel; granddaughter, Jessica Luedtke; and siblings: Norbert, Lucille, and Louise.
