Irene L. Vesey
(May 20, 1919 - April 24, 2002)

Irene L. Vesey, 82, of Indianola died of a heart ailment Wednesday at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Peterson Funeral Home in Indianola, with burial at Linwood Park Cemetery in Boone.
Miss Vesey was born in Mason City and had lived in Indianola since 1991. She had been a special education teacher in Mason City and was a member of the American Diabetes Association, a life member of the Iowa State and National Education associations and a past president of the former Iowa Council for Exceptional children.
A brother, Kenneth Vesey of Indianola, survives.
Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, the American Diabetes Association or the Village Good Shepherd Fund.
