NORWALK, IOWA
Charlene E. Wheeler,64, of Norwalk, IA, passed away Wednesday, August 30th, 2023 with her loving family by her side. A celebration of life will take place Wednesday, September 6th, 2023 at 10:30 AM at Norwalk Christian Church (701 Main Street). An interment will take place at a later date.
Charlene was born April 18th, 1959 to Bill and Marie (Pfrimmer) Maxwell in Des Moines, Iowa. She was a long time employee of Hallett Materials, where she worked as a bookkeeper. She married the love of her life, Gene Wheeler, on February 14th, 1993, and they made their home in Norwalk. She was also an active member of Norwalk Christian Church. Charlene enjoyed reading, gardening, and spending quality time with her husband.
She is survived by her husband, Gene; daughter, Zenda (Brad) Adams; two grandchildren; one great-grandson; brothers, John (Sue), Jim (Grace); sister, Sherry (Cliff); sister-in-law, Shirley (Skeet) Sabin; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Rose.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Norwalk Christian Church.
