Marcus Robert Cooney
(December 11, 1951 - February 1, 2023)

Marcus Robert Cooney passed away Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at UnityPoint Iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines. A Celebration of Life is being planned for a later date.
Marcus is survived by his children, Bobby Cooney, Mandy Cooney and Sally Cooney; companion, Nell Utsler; step-daughter, Megan Utsler; grandchildren, Michael, Isaac, Jacob, Noah, Ava, Mason, Addy, Eden and Teegan; siblings Denny, Pat, Ronnie Cooney and Teresa Lizotte. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Ruth (Karr) Cooney, daughter, Michelle Griffiths. Memorials may be given in his name to the family.
