Marcus Allen Phillips
(September 25, 2002 - February 15, 2023)Marcus Allen Phillips, 20, passed away Wednesday, February 15, 2023 in Indianola. Funeral Services will be held 7 p.m., Wednesday, February 22, 2023 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola. Visitation will be held 4 to 7 p.m., prior to service at Overton’s where family will be present to greet friends. Graveside services will be held 9 a.m., Thursday, February 23, in the IOOF Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Marcus loved his family, and All animals. He loved caring for his dog Maisy who was his best friend. He would never turn down eating something very spicy and ate hot sauce with almost everything. He called himself a gamer and spent many hours playing the video games he loved, his dream job was to be a professional gamer. He recently spent 150 hours within 2 weeks playing a game. He loved scary movies and him and his siblings would watch them together. He loved jamming out to music with his Uncle Allen. He was passionate about what he cared for and fought hard in this life. he was soft spoken but when he wanted to be heard he made sure he was. He had a huge heart of gold and would do anything for the people he loved. He was greatly loved by everyone and will live on in our hearts and memories. We will love and miss him forever.
Marcus is survived by his parents, Wendy and Mark Phillips; siblings, Kayla (John) Thomas, Jeffrey (Samantha) Thomas, Randy Phillips; nieces, Kinley, Sydney, Harmony, Willow; nephew, River; grandparents, Jacquita Thomas, Lloyd Phillips; Aunts and Uncles, Allen Thomas, Rebecca and Michael Christian, Wally and Carol Cleaver, Rick (Tammy) Phillips, Mary Cleaver and Bruce Zimmerman, Marie and Scott Cowell Phillips, Don Phillips; cousins, Libby and Nolan Christian, JW and Tesia Cleaver, Gabe Neer, Blake Byers, Mandie Phillips; along with numerous other relatives and friends. He is preceded in Death by his sister, Sydney Thomas; grandmother, Becky Cook. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the family in his name.
