James L Ginder was born November 12, 1938 to James W Ginder and Grace A Ginder near Sandyville, IA. He attended elementary school in a one room school house near Ackworth, IA. He graduated from Indianola High School in 1957. He met the love of his life, Beverly A Blake at the Indianola A&W. They were married May 29th, 1958, and had three children. They celebrated 57 years of marriage.
Jim was in the National Guard Reserve and was a type setter for a printing company for 20 years while helping his father farm and run an egg production facility. He then started farming full time. He liked to camp with his family and friends. When he and Bev retired, they bought a fifth wheel camper, and would winter in Texas, Arizona, or Florida. Jim was an avid reader of westerns, and other topics. He enjoyed stock car races and going to the Knoxville speed way to watch the super modifieds. Jim loved spending time with Bev planting flowers and gardening. He always had a dog or cat around. He lost Bev in November of 2015 and started a new chapter in his life away from the farm. He had a great laugh, and witty sense of humor. He loved to socialize, and spend time with his grand children.
Jim is survived by his children, Aaron (Gracia) Ginder, David (Abbey) Ginder, Lori (John) McLaughlin; grandchildren, Amber (Joel) Rand, Daniel (Chy) Godwin, Matthew (Morgan) Ginder, Brennan (Jessica) Ginder, Finnis Ginder, Molley Ginder, Misty Rindels, Alli (Casey) Steele, Kelsey (Kyle) Andrews; great-grandchildren, Charlie, Dalton, Cameron, Anna, Lennix, Emerson, Ridge and Eveie. He was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly Ginder; parents, James and Grace Ginder; brothers Charles Ginder. Memorials may be given to Helping Hand or Kiya Koda Humane Society.
