She lived there with her parents and siblings, and lovingly referred to those times as "the good old days".
Irma graduated from Runnells High School. After high school she worked at Hiland potato chip company and then became a cook and worked at many well-known restaurants. Irma was an extremely strong and exceptional lady who loved her family dearly. She truly loved her family unconditionally and without judgement. Not only did she love her children but all their friends too, and she treated them as her own. To know her was to love her!
Irma enjoyed being in the kitchen cooking and canning. She was known for her fabulous fudge and potato salad and it was always requested for family holidays and special occasions.
Irma loved going to church and was a social butterfly. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and watching them excel in their sporting and school events. She would often jump in her car and go visit family and friends, and it was always a joy to see her beautiful smiling face at your door. She enjoyed playing cards, getting ice cream, and setting in the park while feeding the ducks. She loved camping with her family, bird watching and all flowers. She had multiple bird feeders and a perennial garden to invite the birds in, so she could sit and watch them for hours.
