(November 11, 1912 - September 24, 2020)

Funeral services for Elna Marie Bricker, 107, of Indianola, who passed away Thursday, September 24, 2020, in Indianola, will be held 1:30 p.m., Monday, September 28, 2020 at Overton Funeral Home with burial following in the Indianola I.O.O.F. Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Celebrating the life of Elna Adamson Bricker, born November 11th, 1912 in Des Moines, Iowa to Mary and Frank Adamson and brother Philip. She married Homer Bricker in Runnells, Iowa on October 25th,1936. They had and welcomed one daughter, Linda in Indianola Iowa. They moved to a farm East of Indianola when Linda turned two. Elna worked hard and enjoyed her chickens on the farm. She also enjoyed going to the Church events in Ackworth.
The Bricker family moved back to Indianola where she worked for United Food before it closed and retired after many years of employment at Pamida. After retirement she enjoyed her volunteer work with Methodist Church and Helping Hand. She enjoyed spending mornings with friends for coffee and conversation at Hardee's and Burger King.
She often enjoyed Bingo at the activities center and Good Samaritan. She made friends with everyone that knew her including the staff and Hospice caregivers. Elna had one of the most God loving smiles, which she showed to everyone. When asked how she was, her signature statement was “I'm a survivor” and grin. She will always be remembered for her strength, patience, kindness and dedication to her family and friends.
Survivors include her daughter, Linda Reeser; grandchildren, Tracy (Tom) Adam, Teri (Jim) Cooper, Antonio (Krisdena) Reeser; great-grandchildren, Tye Adam, Thomas Jack Adam, Rykiel Reeser, Grace Reeser, Emily Cooper, Gioia Reeser, Everly Reeser; great great-grandchildren, Pearl Adam, Avery Adam; nephews, Jim Ginder, Boag Chumbley; and the Adamson cousins. She is preceded in death by her husband, Homer.
