(February 25, 1946 - November 23, 2020)

Jean Marie Young-Hull of Ankeny, IA passed away at MercyOne Medical Center in Des Moines, IA, on November 23, 2020 at the age of 74. Jean was born in Lake George, NY on February 25, 1946 to Charles W. and Doris Young. She is survived by her husband, Alva Charles Hull; daughters, Kelly of Palm Harbor, FL, and Laura of Rockport, TX; son, Joesph of Eagleville, MO; her siblings, Michael, Georgia and Margie of the Gens Falls, NY area; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and countless close friends and family members. She is proceeded in death by her parents, her daughter Jeanne Morrow, her grandson Joel Morrow Jr., and daughter-in-law Susan Hogan.
Jean was an adoring mother and grandmother who always offered a place of love and peace to the children in her family and beyond. She was an avid animal lover, always finding space in her home for pets in need of shelter. She also dedicated much of her personal and professional life to better the lives of people with developmental disabilities. She was known for her keen sense of humor and tendency to champion underdogs or marginalized people. Jean loved her husband deeply and they shared many decades leaning on one another through the challenges of life. She will be so deeply missed.
