They traveled some and did a lot of camping when the children were young. Hobbies were ceramics, woodworking, crocheting, knitting and quilting. Vadis made beautiful quilts, ceramic Christmas trees and Santa Clauses, and many other items for the members of the family. Lots of family get togethers, with grandchildren everywhere outside and inside, and feeding everyone was a priority. She loved the grandchildren and great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren immensely, they were the pride of her life. Vadis was always happy, loved to sit and visit with anyone, had a great outlook on life, and was always ready for the next stage of her life. She never quit and pushed herself everyday as she knew it was not her time to quit.
She is survived by her children, Lon (Roberta) Fry, Linda (Dennis) Schrader, Neal (Connie) Fry, Diana Pfaff; 13 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and 24 great great-grandchildren; and sisters-in-law, Addie Fry and Sue Tipton; and many nieces and nephews.
