Richard Allen Adair
(April 5 1953 - June 29, 2022)

Richard Allen Adair, son of Kenneth and Lois (Kelly) Adair, was born on April 5, 1953 in Leon, Iowa and passed on June 29, 2022 in Phoenix, Arizona at the age of 69 years. Services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, July 7, 2022 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola, IA. Cremation will follow services with burial of cremains to be held in the Evergreen Cemetery, Lineville, Iowa, at a later date.

Richard was married to Diane (McCarty) Adair on August 29,1987 and became an instant Dad to three girls.

He is survived by wife, Diane of Phoenix, Arizona; daughters, Delana (Dan) Zahn of Urbandale, Iowa, Tally (Matt) Winkleman of Cave Creek, Arizona, Sammi (John) Fulmer of Runnells, Iowa; grandchildren, Jenkin, Kennadi, Morrison, Sheaffer, Ellington Fulmer, Brenna, Alexa Winkleman, Max, Carter Zahn; siblings, Larry (Janet) Adair of St Charles, Iowa, Shorty (Barb Waldron) Adair of Des Moines, Iowa, Kenny (Judy) Adair of Lineville, Iowa, Kay (Pat) Karns of Nixa, Missouri and Randy (Rhonda) Adair of Lucus, Iowa; sisters-in-law, Pat (Jerry) Jones of Adel, Iowa, Barb (Terry) McMurry of Indianola, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Richard was raised in Lineville, Iowa and was a graduate of Lineville Clio High School. He immediately started working as a concrete laborer. He worked in concrete construction for most of his career. He later drove a truck for Economy Rolloffs, until he had to take early retirement.

He and Diane moved to Arizona in December of 2019, where he could enjoy the weather all year.

Richard leaves numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and friends who will miss his smiling face and his wonderful, infectious laugh. He will always be in our hearts.
