Obituary – Jeremiah A. Bonebrake
Jeremiah Aaron Bonebrake, son of Noah and Margaret Bonebrake, was born Nov 2, 1866, at Newbern, Marion County. He passed away Nov. 29, 1957, at the age of 91 years and 27 days, in the home of a friend, Edd Holmes of Confidence. His early life was spent at Newbern and near Lacona, later moving to Chariton and recently living in the Enslow Nursing Home. Ted, as he was known by his many friends, engaged in the carpenter trade. His kindly ways and cheerful disposition will always be remembered by his loved ones and friends. He is survived by one sister, Mrs. Lillie Goodwin of Chariton and one brother, Wesley of Kansas City, and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 2, at the Beardsley Funeral Home, the Rev. John A. Adams officiated, and interment was at Newbern Cemetery.
