Mrs. Junia Niles Dies Suddenly
Funeral Services Were Held On Wednesday Afternoon For Mrs. Junia Niles In Milo
Mrs. Junia Niles, 63, a life long resident of Milo, passed away suddenly Sunday evening, July 15, at the home of her son, Charles. Mrs. Niles was helping with the chores when she was stricken with a heart attack. Death came about 8:00 o’clock. She had apparently been in good health and was never heard to speak of any illness. Her sudden death came as a shock to the entire community. Mrs. Niles was loved by all who knew her and she numbered her friends by her acquaintances. She had always been active in civic and social affairs in Milo. She was a member of the U. S. W. A., of which she was president at the time of her death; a member of Bethel Chapter No. 495 of the O. E. S.; a member of the Milo Study Club; of the Social Hour Club and of the Nowata Club. She was a member of the Methodist Church. Surviving are a daughter, Lt. Margaret L. Niles, a navy nurse stationed at Guam; two sons, Dale of Walnut Creek, California and Charles of Milo. Her husband and one son, Gale, preceeded her in death. Funeral services were held Wednesday, July 18, at the Methodist Church, in charge of Rev. Harold N. Olson, clergyman, and Bethel Chapel No. 495 O.E.S. Interment was at the Indianola Cemetery.
