Nova Lucile Perkins
(January 14, 1918 – March 1, 1924)

Nova Lucile Perkins, second daughter of Earl E. and Ada V. Perkins, was born January 14, 1918 and died March 1, 1924 after a sickness of about ten days duration. She leaves to mourn her death her father and mother, two sisters, Mona and Mildred, both grandfathers and grandmothers, besides her uncles and aunts, and a host of little play mates who will miss her. Nova had a sunny disposition and was a great favorite with all her little friends. A short time before she passed away, as her mama was sitting beside her bed, she said, “Don’t cry when I go away, mama.” A short funeral service was held at Spring Hill, Monday by Rev. J. A. Walls of VanWert, who was formerly pastor at Spring Hill. Interment was at North River cemetery. A precious one from us had gone, a voice, we loved is stilled, a place is vacant in our home which never can be filled. Dearest Nova thou hast left us here thy loss we deeply feel. But tis God that has bereft us. He can all our sorrows heal.
