Patricia Joan King
(November 27, 1938 – February 9, 1946)

Patricia Joan King was born at Pleasantville Nov. 27, 1938, the daughter of Richard E. and Juanita McCoy King. The family moved to Carlisle shortly thereafter. Patricia was a first grade pupil in the Carlisle school. She attended the Carlisle Methodist Sunday school, Mrs. Lester Love being her teacher. Although Patricia had not been in the best of health for some time, her sudden death Saturday, Feb 9, at the Blank Memorial Hospital came as a shock to all. Besides her parents, she is survived by a brother, David LeRoy, 3; a sister, Linda Kay, 15 months old; her grandfather, Floyd E. King, of Swan; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. J. W. McCoy of Beech; and her great-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John Bigford of Carlisle. Patsy’s sweet quiet personality was a blessing to all. Funeral services were held Monday, Feb. 11, 1946, at 2:30 p.m. at the Carlisle Methodist church, conducted by the pastor, the Rev. E. E. Josten. Interment was in the Carlisle Cemetery.
