Winifred Jane Mason, daughter of William and Flora Mason was born Feb 27, 1885, in Warren County. She was the youngest of four children, all of whom preceded her in death. She died Aug 28, 1946, at the age of 61 years, 6 months and 1 day. She was united in marriage to A. B. Anderson Dec. 9, 1903. To this union were born four children. In November 1927 they with their family decided to go to California to make their future home. She leaves her husband, A. B. Anderson; one son and three daughters, Claude W. Anderson, Riverside, Calif., Golda Boyers, Charleston, W. Va., Lena Jones and Doris Preston, both of Riverside, and six grandchildren. Mrs. Anderson united with the Christian church at Carlisle in 1920. No woman deserved more praise and credit for her willingness to work and sacrifice for her home and family. Always kind and helpful among her neighbors, she was ever ready to do her part for the relief and comfort for those in need. Funeral services were held from the Preston Funeral Home at Riverside, conducted by the Rev. Sherman B. Moore. Interment was in the Olivewood Cemetery, Riverside.
