Simpson Alumnus Dies In Ohio
Ralph “Wee” Huston, who graduated from Simpson in 1913 died suddenly of a heart attack at his home in Akron, Ohio, about a month ago according to information received by friends here. Mr. Huston was a top executive in the production department for the Goodrich Rubber Co. He was one of several Simpson men at that time who entered the employ of this company. Among them were Frank Rusk of Omaha, Bob Collins of Chicago, Rex Dunn of Compton, Calif., Otus Lippincott of Kansas City, Mo., and Fred Morley of Los Angeles. Mr. Morley is the only one left of that group now in the employ of the company. He has gone up the ladder to a highly responsible position, with headquarters at Los Angeles and with a considerable area of the state as his field. Mr. Huston was one of the popular men on the campus while he was in college. He was known for his humor, was a good student and a member of the football team coached by Walter “Stub” Stewart.
