Richard LeRoy Andrews
(June 1, 1936 - January 15, 2019)

Richard "Dick" Andrews passed away suddenly January 15, 2019 at his home in Carlisle. Private burial of Richard's ashes will take place at a later date. Dick was born on June 1, 1936 in Centerville, Iowa to Robert and Ruth Andrews. Dick was a hard worker his whole life. He coached and taught school for several years. After coaching he worked as a claims adjuster for Travelers Insurance. Richard's last job was for the State of Iowa in the workers compensation program. After retiring Dick enjoyed volunteering at the Iowa State Fair and spending time with his family. The last 6 years had been hard for him. He lost his beautiful bride of 50+ years in 2012. Dad was such a dedicated husband and father. Life will not be the same without him. Dick was preceded in death by his parents, a son who passed away at birth, wife, grandparents, and brother. Those left to mourn Dick are his daughters, Kristi (Jamie) Schrock and Brenda (Richard) Dolski, granddaughter, Gina (Jordan) Osterman and great granddaughter Tess.
