Ann met Ray Bowler at Northwest Christian College (NCC) in Eugene, Oregon. They were married on July 2, 1957 and celebrated sixty years of marriage a few months prior to Ray's death in 2017. Ann and Ray moved to Iowa with their daughters, Naomi and Louise, in 1961. Ann was a homemaker while Ray was a Pastor and attended Drake University.
