Violet Ann Wittkowski
(May 15, 1940 - March 17, 2019)

Violet Ann Wittkowski, 78, from Swan, passed away Sunday, March 17, 2019 in Johnston, Iowa. Funeral services for Violet will be at 11:00 am Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at Peterson Funeral Home in Carlisle. A visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 pm Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at the funeral home.
Violet was born on May 15, 1940 in Miami Station, Missouri to Morgan and Helen (Smith) Webb.
Violet enjoyed a number of hobbies after retirement from JC Penney's and during her marriage to Bob Wittkowski. Some of her favorite hobbies were antiquing, gardening, and traveling. She especially loved spending time with, and cooking for, family and friends.
Violet is survived by her children Susan Kempenaar and Rich Marshall; her grandchildren Johnny Kempenaar, Krissy Kempenaar, Kellie McKinney, Christie Marshall, Leon Scott, Michelle Scott, Jake Scott, and Sherri Marshall; many great-grandchildren; her siblings Kay Saltzman, Lena (Peewee) Armstrong, Helen (Fuzzy) Moniz, and Leland (Buck) Webb; and numerous friends and extended family.
Violet was preceded in death by her parents Morgan and Helen Webb, her husband Bob Wittkowski, her son David Marshall, her siblings Cleota Marshall, Bonnie Webb, Morgan (Dud) Webb Jr, and Danny Webb; and a great-grandchild.
