Rex Dean Kirkpatrick
(September 4, 1923 – September 11, 1923)

Rex Dean, son of Clarence and Inis Kirkpatrick, was born in Warren County, September 4th, 1923, and departed from this life seven days later, September 11th, 1923. Everything that loving hearts and willing hands could do was done but it seems that life could not extend. He leaves to mourn his departure his father and mother, one brother, Paul Kirkpatrick. He also leaves two grandmothers, one great grandmother, two grandfathers, one great grandfather and also a host of other relatives. Its little life here on earth was short, budding only to bloom in heaven. Funeral services were held at the home of his grandparents, Will Kirkpatrick, September 12, 1923, conducted by his uncle, James M. Kirkpatrick, and the little body laid to rest in the Sandyville Cemetery. [copied from a scrapbook at the Warren County Historical Society Library, Indianola, Iowa]
