Emma Howard
(January 3, 1864 - August 20, 1923)

The many friends of Mrs. Emma Howard, wife of George Howard were grieved to hear of her death which occurred Aug. 20, 1923 at Almosa, Colorado. Miss Emma Frantz [Franz], daughter of Michael Frantz and his wife, grew to young womanhood here and will be remembered by the older residents. She has been a sufferer for many years with arthritis, but her sunny disposition made her friends every where she went. After the death of her husband which occurred several years ago she has made her home with her children and was tenderly cared for by them. The remains were brought to Tecumseh, Nebraska and she was tenderly laid to rest by the side of her husband. She leaves to mourn their loss three children, Elva, Hazel and Elbert; three brothers: William Frantz of Kinderhood, Illinois, George Frantz of Denver, Colorado and Charles Frantz of Lacona and two sisters, Mrs. Dott Crowl of Chariton and Mrs. Ida Lucas of Kansas.
