(November 17, 1842 – July 9, 1923)

Obituary – Mrs. John Frank
Mary L. Proctor, daughter of Joseph and Jane Proctor, was born near Trivoli, Peoria County, Illinois, Nov. 17, 1842, and died July 9th, 1923, age 80 years, 7 months, and 22 days. She was the last of a family of thirteen children. She was married to John Frank, March 11th, 1853, and to them were born five children: Frances Olive who died in infancy; Mrs. Richard Savin, of Lexington, Neb.; Mrs. W. B. Parkin of West Hope, North Dakota; Albert A. of Indianola, and Everett L. of near Liberty Center.
She with her family came to Warren County in the spring of 1878, locating on a farm near Liberty Center, where they continued to reside until a few years ago, when retiring from the heavy duties of the farm and because of failing health they moved to Milo where they continued to reside for a few years, when because of feebleness they made their home, with their son, Everett L. where on February 7th, 1922, her companion passed away. She was converted in her childhood and upon her marriage became a member of the Lutheran church. Then upon their removal to Iowa she united with the Methodist Episcopal church at Green Plain. Her four living children were with her during her last hours on earth and were present at her funeral which was conducted by her pastor, Rev. L. L. Smith, assisted by Rev. C. C. Callahan, and by Rev. C. W. Proctor, her nephew, who preached the sermon. She is survived by four children, four grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.
