David Frederick Walker
(July 27, 1960 - March 13, 2020)

David Frederick Walker, 59, of Hartford, passed away peacefully at Taylor House Hospice in Des Moines surrounded by his family. David was born July 27, 1960 in Des Moines, Iowa to David and Karen (Smithson) Walker. David was proud to be involved in his community. He served on the Carlisle and Hartford Fire Departments for over 30 years. When he became unable to be active in the department, he was granted the position of chaplain. He also was a bus driver for Carlisle and Indianola School Districts for over 20 years. David was raised in the Hartford Presbyterian church since 1965, where he stayed an active and faithful member until his passing.
David is survived by his wife of 40 years, Debbie, children; David Walker III, Tiffany (Dave) Ramirez, and Christopher (Megan) Walker, grandchildren; Walker David Ramirez and Melody Karen Walker, sister Lori (Dave) Hollingsworth, Nephew Dustin Hollingsworth, niece Amanda Hollingsworth, his In-laws, aunts, uncles, cousins, and his faithful companion Macie.
David was preceded in death by his parents, brother Steve Walker, grandparents; Donald and Maude Walker, Grace and Glenn Tomlinson, Dean and Marge Smithson, and his granddaughter, Faith Mackenzie Walker.
In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made in David’s name to the Harford Fire Department or the Hartford Presbyterian Church.
