Garry Lee Miklus
(December 28, 1960 - March 4, 2019)

A Celebration of Life service for Garry Lee Miklus, 58, who passed away Monday, March 4, 2019 at home in Indianola, will be held 7 p.m., Tuesday, March 12 at the First Assembly of God Church 1700 West 2nd Ave. in Indianola with visitation held one hour prior to service.
Garry was born December 28, 1960 in Des Moines, IA to William Frank and Velma Lucille (Smith) Miklus. Garry graduated from Saydel High School in 1979, where he wrestled and placed at state. He was an avid sports fan of any kind. Favorite hobbies of Garry’s included watching his children in anything they did. He loved traveling and keeping busy.
Garry was united in marriage to LuAnn Christensen on May 21, 1983 in Des Moines and to this union four children, William Lee, Timothy Ryan, Erin Ann and Sean Adam were born.
Garry was employed with the City of Des Moines for 29 years holding the title of Captain Journeyman Steamfitter and was a member of the Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 33 for 35 years. He was a jack of all trades and Master!
Garry is survived by his wife of 35 years, LuAnn; children, Willie, Tim, Erin and Sean; father, William Miklus; brother, Randy Miklus; sister, Sheri (Steve) Grau; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Velma Lucille Miklus.
