Ann Fridley
(April 30, 1946 - December 28, 2017)

Services for Ann Fridley, 71, who passed away Thursday, December 28, 2017 at home, will be held 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola with burial following in the Liberty Center Cemetery.
Ann was born in Indianola Hospital April 30, 1946 to Lila and Dewey (Dude) Clary. She grew up mainly in Indianola. She was always proud that she danced on American Band Stand. She spent much of her childhood with Aunt Lula and Uncle Dale Gillette. She worked as a car hop with many of her close friends at the A&W Restaurant. She met her husband Tom there and they were engaged on Christmas Eve of 1963 and got married in June of 1964 at The Little Brown Church at Nashua and then moved to a farm north of Liberty Center where her 3 children were born. The family moved to Milo in January of 1974 where she started a career working for Avon. She retired 40 years later. She loved old people and caring for everyone. Her family was the most important thing to her. She loved spending time with her grandkids and taking them to Jolly Holiday Lights. She loved her Friday trips to town with her Mom and her Sister and that grew into more family and friends joining. She enjoyed her trips to the Casino with her Sister and Dad and to toy auctions.
Visitation will be held 4 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, January 2 at Overton Funeral Home where family will be present to greet friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be given to the Milo Rescue, Unity Point Hospice or Wounded Warrior Project. This memorial is provided by Overton Funeral Home, 501 West Ashland Ave., Indianola, Iowa, http://www.overtonfuneral.com/
