(September 20, 1938 - December 7, 2015)

Warren Gideon, 77, passed away at home on December 7, 2015. Warren was born September 20, 1938 to James and Harriet(Lundy) Gideon. He spent his early days in the Indianola area, graduating from Indianola High School. He later married Deana Harvey and moved to Des Moines, where they had three children. They then moved to Carlisle where Warren was active in Church and the community. His skills with painting and staining can be seen in many homes, businesses and churches throughout Iowa. After Deana's passing Warren spent his retirement years in the Milo area with his life partner Ann Garner, where he enjoyed sitting on the front porch, woodworking and spending time with their extended families.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers James and John; and wife Deana Gideon. He is survived by his life partner Ann Garner; children Terri (Sandy) Gideon, Tim (Donna) Gideon, Tracey (Mike) Munsell, Shawn (Jenny) Garner, Michelle (Blake) Garner; brother Martin (Lorri) Gideon; grandchildren Tyler(Janet) Gideon, Cory Gideon, Allyson Scott, David Munsell, Nick Garner, Sadie Garner, Rachelle Ruepke and Thomas Ruepke as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Services will be held Saturday, December 12, 2015 at Peterson Funeral Home in Carlisle. Visitation is from 1 to 2pm with services to follow at 2pm. Private burial will take place at a later date.
