Jeanine Francis Dobson
(November 9, 1949 - July 27, 2016)

Jeanine Francis Dobson, 66, devoted wife and mother to her family went to be with the Lord on July 27, 2016, after a courageous battle with cancer. A memorial mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00am, Monday, August 1, 2016, at St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church in Carlisle. Interment of ashes will follow at 2:00pm in the Iowa Veterans Cemetery. A memorial visitation will be held from 4:00-6:00pm on Sunday, July 31, 2016, also at the church.
Jeanine was born on November 9, 1949. She was raised on a farm near Grand Junction, IA. She is a graduate of East Green High School and Methodist School of Nursing. She served as an RN at Methodist Surgery and Des Moines Orthopaedic Surgeons. Jeanine served as a 4-H leader for the Carlisle Wildcats 4-H Club for six years. She loved gardening, camping, sewing, and singing in the choir at St. Elizabeth Seton church.
Jeanine met and married Martin Dobson, her high school sweet heart, on December 20, 1969. Together they loved to travel the country, go on tractor rides, Jeeping in Colorado and Arizona, enjoyed bonfires, and time with her family and friends.
Jeanine is survived by her husband, Martin Dobson of Carlisle, daughters Sheri (Rob) Steger of West Des Moines and Jackie (Jason) Bailey of Carlisle, brother Kenny Perkins of Corona, CA, sister Karen Bell of Riverside, CA, grandchildren Abigail and Max Bailey of Carlisle, and Gavin, Vivian, and Avery Steger of West Des Moines. Jeanine was preceded in death by her father George Perkins and mother Doloris Richmond.
