(August 30, 1937 - December 23, 2016)

Amy Ruth Haley passed away on Friday, December 23, 2016 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa. Funeral services for Amy will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, December 29, 2016 at the Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Carlisle. A visitation will begin one hour prior to services. Interment will be in the Carlisle City Cemetery. Amy was born on August 30, 1937 to Frank and Hilda Leeson in Clarke County, Iowa. Amy married Harold Haley on May 28, 1960 in Osceola, Iowa. Amy was a housewife and worked part time as a clerical worker. Amy and Harold raised two children together, Steven and Sharon. Amy was a member of the Holy Cross Lutheran Church. Amy is survived by her husband Harold; 2 children, Sharon Zarbock of Gilbert, Arizona Steven (Robyn) Haley of Carlisle and; sisters, Erma Helmberger of Omaha, Nebraska and Edith Podhajsky of Marshalltown, and 2 grandchildren.
