Funeral services for Charles William Cross, who died August 18, 2010 at Taylor House Hospice will be 10 a.m. Saturday, August 21, 2010 at the Carlisle Christian Church. His body will lie in state for friends and family from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday evening at the Peterson funeral home in Carlisle. Burial with military honors will be in the Carlisle City Cemetery. Charles served in the US Army. He belonged to Carlisle Lions Club, Kings and Kueens HiLo camping club, the American Legion and Carlisle Christian Church. Charles for many years worked for Coastal Mart Inc. He was preceded in death by his parents and granddaughter, Jennifer Sue Peacock. Surviving are his wife, Margaret; daughters, Lacresa Lee, Carmela Cross, Deanna Cross and Robin Barnes; son, Eric Cross; sister, Dorothy Bates; 12 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
