William Simmons Hale, 84, of Indianola died of a heart ailment Saturday at home. The body was cremated. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Peterson Funeral Home in Indianola. Mr. Hale was born in Ottumwa and had moved to Indianola in 1921. He owned the R.M. Hale Ford Dealership before retiring. He was an Army veteran and a member of the Noon Lions Club. He is survived by his wife, Lois; two sons, Bob of Indianola and Bill of Shorewood, Minn.; a daughter, Nancy Bash of Indianola; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
