Marjorie M. Owens, 90, of Carlisle died of a heart ailment Saturday at Carlisle Care Center. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Richardson Funeral Home in Carlisle, with burial at Carlisle Township Cemetery. Mrs. Owens was born in Runnells and had moved to Carlisle in 1936. She was a postal worker at the Carlisle Post Office. She was a member of Runnells Christian Church, American Legion Auxiliary and Merry Moments Club. She is survived by three sons, Jarvis Lee of Gig Harbour, Wash., McKenzie of Mesa, Ariz., and Arden of Carlisle; a brother, Charles Freel of Altoona; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Osborne. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Carlisle American Legion Auxiliary or the Carlisle Public Library.
