Leonie "Lee" Conrad, 84, died at the Carlisle Care Center on May 23, 2014. She was born in France and met and married Victor Conrad while he was stationed in Germany. She was a homemaker and a long time resident of Carlisle. She enjoyed sewing and crocheting and traveling with her husband. She is survived by her son, Robert Conrad of Carlisle; daughters Regina Sinclair of Carlisle, and Deborah Conrad of Des Moines; one sister, Jeanne Haynes of Killeen, TX; grandchildren Chris Sinclair of Carlisle, Mary Sinclair of Urbandale, Annesa (John) Bergstrom of Carlisle, Stephenie Lee Ward of Des Moines; great-grandchildren Liberty Leeana Sinclair, Cadence Sinclair, Maya Bergstrom, and Miles Bergstrom. She was preceded in death by her husband, Victor. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 28th at Peterson's Funeral Home in Carlisle from 5-7 pm. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 29th at Peterson's Funeral Home. Burial will be at the Carlisle City Cemetery.
