(November 17, 1933 - June 6, 2016)

Services for Betty Jo (Jones) Dill, who left us on Monday, June 6, 2016, at the age of 82, with several family members by her side, will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, June 11 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola with burial following along side her husband in the Indianola IOOF Cemetery.
Betty was born on November 17, 1933, in Lockwood, Missouri to Doyle and Effie Berry Jones. Betty loved growing up with her siblings and surrounded by many aunts, uncles and cousins. Betty married Eddus Ewell Dill on April 8, 1950, in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. From this union, five children were born, Beverly Sue, Edwin Ray (passed at birth), Edward Joe, Rhonda Lou and Lisa Renea. Ed and Betty lived in Wichita, Kansas before settling in Indianola, Iowa. Betty, along the side of her husband owned and ran Ed’s Body Shop in Indianola, Iowa for approximately 11 years. They were married for almost 50 years, until his passing in 2000. After Ed’s passing, Betty moved to Springfield, Missouri in 2001 to be closer to her children. Over the years, Betty’s interests included family, gardening and flowers, sewing, crafts and her dogs. She devoted much of her time to their family business and her family. Preceded in death: her parents Doyle and Effie Jones, her husband, Eddus Ewell, sons Edwin Ray and Edward Joe Dill, a grandson EJ Dill, a great grandson Shane Mosely, along with her siblings, Imogene McManis, Merl Jones, Bonnie Decker and Wanda Dill. Survived by her brother A.J. McManis and sister in law Justine of Lamar, Missouri; brother Derl Jones and sister in law Barbara of Peculiar, Missouri. Daughter and son in law, Sue and Montie Norris; daughter Rhonda Mosely and Herbert Holder; daughter Lisa Benson and Vern Verwiebee, all of Springfield, Missouri. Daughter In Law, Coleen Dill of Bolivar, Missouri. Grandchildren: Jerena and Ken Dreiling, of Dacono, Colorado; Bridgette and Lonnie Adams of Longmont, Colorado; Jenny and Jerry (Deuce) Entihar of LaSalle, Colorado; Gerald Hood of Greeley, Colorado; Shelia Murphy of Des Moines, Iowa; Scott and Tammy Grant of Morrisville, Missouri; and Vikki and Russ Hanks, Bolivar, Missouri. Teena and Robert Justice; Shana and Michael Wriston; Sierra and Raymond Domigan, all of Springfield, Missouri. Brandy Benson and Teresa Jones; Amanda Benson; Amber Benson; also all of Springfield, MO. Betty is also survived by several Great Grandchildren, Great Great Grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Betty will be remembered as a loving wife, mom and grandma, and so much more. Though her beautiful smile is gone forever and her hand we cannot touch, we still have so many memories of the one we loved so much. Her memory is now our keepsake which with we'll never part. God has her in his keeping we have her in our hearts. Sadly missed but never forgotten.
