David Carl Glascock
(January 29, 1959 - July 2, 2016)

Services for David Carl Glascock, 57, who passed away Saturday, July 2, 2016 at home with family present, will be held 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, July 6, at the First Assembly of God Church in Indianola, with burial following in the Indianola I.O.O.F. Memorial Gardens Cemetery. David, the son of Lloyd and Jeannene (McCoy) Glascock was born January 29th, 1959 in Des Moines, IA. He graduated from Indianola High School in 1978 and went to work full time for the family business, Glascock Floors.
David married Diane Eisele June 30th , 1979 and they were blessed with 3 wonderful children, Melissa, Jocelyn and Benjamin and resided just outside of Indianola. David loved his children and grandchildren beyond measure. He supported them in their activities whether it was sporting events, concerts, car racing or horse shows and was proud to talk about them. David loved going on trips and concerts with his wife, Diane. He always made them an adventure. David loved getting together with his parents and sisters for family gatherings. David also loved his dogs and jokingly called them his other kids.
David was a member of Indianola First Assembly of God. He proudly served as a board member, Royal Rangers leader when it was active, children’s ministry and as a greeter. David’s main purpose was to serve others but especially his pastors in whatever capacity was needed. David took part in 3 mission trips and absolutely loved them.
Survivors include his wife, Diane (Eisele) Glascock; children, Melissa (Brandon) Boyd, Jocelyn (Dallas) O’Brien and Benjamin (Bailey) Glascock; grandchildren, Quincy, Peyton and Bryce Boyd, Skylar, Halle and Krayten O’Brien, and Bella Glascock; mother, Jeannene (McCoy) Glascock; sisters, Laura (Tim) Phillips and Judy (David) Hutton. He is preceded in death by his father, Lloyd Glascock and sister, Susan (Glascock) Perkins. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, July 5 at the First Assembly Of God Church where family will be present to greet friends. Memorials may be given in David’s name to Kiya Koda Humane Society or to the Indianola First Assembly Of God for missions or children’s ministry.
